ABOUT SILENT PICTURE BOOKS (Also called wordless or visual literature.)

Visual literature is often the child's first encounter with artistic forms of expression, so it is important

that they encounter high-quality books.

Visual literature has its own language and is something you can learn to read in the same way as you

learn to read all other literature. Visual literature can be read alone or together with an adult talking

about what is happening on the spreads. This challenges the imagination and strengthen the child's

language.

In other words, visual picture books are for everyone, regardless of age, who they are and where they

come from.
